ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The festival is sponsored by the Claremont Community College and is screened at the prestigious Laemmle Theatre in Claremont California. Although not a real college, the Claremont Community College provides social and artistic events. The group raises funds to support deserving families who need help during the Holidays.  The city boasts a college crowd and the feel of an artistic destination. The Village as it is known to locals supports a variety of ecletric dining establishments where you can meet up with your cast and crew prior to the event. Post screening events will allow you meet the audience up close.

Claremont is located an hour east of Los Angeles and is covered by the Southern California media market. It is an outstanding location to invite your fans and friends.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Recognizing that the short film is not, in itself, a product to produce great financial rewards, The Claremont 5 Second Film Festival honors and celebrates the short format as a creative entity in its own right. Our focus is to create an atmosphere to encourage interaction with filmmakers and their audience in order to enhance the artistic experience of both. With the desire to provide a premium experience, the Claremont Festival exhibits its selected films at the prestigious Laemmle Theatre in the center of the beautiful Claremont Village. We are dedicated to ensuring that you and the audience share a memorable evening celebrating the art of the short film.
